A second man in his 40s has been arrested in connection with a seizure of drugs and contraband in Dublin on Wednesday.

He is due to appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice at 4.30pm on Thursday.

On Wednesday, gardaí seized around €40,000 worth of drugs during an operation aimed at disrupting supply into prisons in West Dublin.

Crime Response Team officers searched a vehicle as part of a planned operation in Dublin 22 on Tuesday afternoon.

They found cocaine, heroin, cannabis, and MDMA, wrapped and packaged for delivery. Gardaí also seized a number of devices and a drone.
