Faithfuls Vanessa, Kelley and Oyin have won the first edition of The Traitors Ireland.

They survived the game and now share a prize pot of €42,900.

The trio of Faithfuls will split their winnings three ways, each walking away with a total of €14,300.

Traitors Ben and Nick were eliminated in the final two rounds.

Host Siobhan McSweeney hailed the trio as the “Mná na hÉireann who took down the Traitors" after the final result.

An RTÉ spokesperson said discussions regarding the commissioning of series two will begin in due course after the huge popularity of the reality show.

The reality show saw host Siobhán McSweeney welcoming a group of strangers to Slane Castle to play the ultimate game of detection, backstabbing and trust, in the hope of winning the top prize.
