Wednesday's front pages focus on a range of stories from a boy who has been missing for up to four years being feared dead to the new Garda Commissioner considering arming gardaí with tasers.

The Irish Times reports that a boy who has been missing from Dublin for up to four years, and is now feared dead, was in care for a period during the early years of his life.

The Irish Examiner reports the new Garda Commissioner Justin Kelly says protecting garda members from violence is another priority, and he is considering arming frontline members with Taser stun guns.

The Echo leads with comments from a TD who said the new Garda Commissioner should reverse the decision to merge policing areas in Cork city.
