Man due in court over seizure of assault rifles and cannabis

A man is to appear in court in connection with the seizure of two assault rifles and more than €775,000 worth of cannabis in north Co Dublin.
He is one of two men arrested as part of a garda operation on Tuesday in which two properties were searched.
The man, aged in his 50s, is due to appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice at 10.30am on Thursday.
The second arrested man, aged in his 30s, remained detained at a garda station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
Gardai said investigations are ongoing.
