A woman in her 90s has died in a single vehicle collision in Co Cork on Monday.

The crash occurred in the Dunkettle Ballinglanna area of Glanmire at around 1.50pm.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

The road is currently closed to facilitate technical examination by garda forensic collision investigators.

Gardaí have appealed to anyone who may have witnessed the collision to contact them.

Any road users who have camera footage, including dash cam, and were travelling in the area between 1.30pm and 2.10pm on Monday, August 25th, have been asked to make their footage available to investigating gardaí.

Anyone with information has also been asked to contact Mayfield Garda Station on 021 4558510, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any garda station.

Investigations are ongoing, a garda statement said.
