Gardaí renew appeal for information after man (40s) seriously injured in Dublin assault

Gardaí are renewing their appeal for information after a man was seriously injured following an assault in Dublin last Friday.

The incident took place on Sean McDermott Street at approximately 10pm.

A man, aged in his 40s, was taken to Beaumont Hospital, where he remains in a serious condition.

A Senior Investigating Officer (SIO) has been appointed to lead the investigation and an incident room has been established at Mountjoy Garda Station.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have information in relation to this incident to contact them.

Any persons, including road users and pedestrians, who were in the Sean McDermott Street / Diamond Park area between 9:30pm and 10:30pm on Friday 25th July 2025 and who may have footage (including dash-cam) are asked to make this footage available to investigating gardaí.
