What the papers say: Monday's front pages

Monday's front pages focus on a range of stories from the US-EU trade deal finally being confirmed to two former Cork County mayors being paid €156,000 between them in expenses.
The Irish Times and Irish Examiner report the European Union and US have agreed a deal that will lock in tariffs of 15 per cent on most EU imports to the US, but prevent the prospect of an economically devastating trade war.
The Echo reports two former county mayors were paid almost €156,000 between them in expenses and allowances, data reveals, as Cork County Council confirmed that it paid out more than €2.6 million to its elected members in 2024.
