Kerry defeat Tyrone to secure place in All-Ireland football final

Kerry have secured their place in the All-Ireland football final after beating Tyrone 1-20 to 0-17 at Croke Park.

David Clifford hit the net for the Munster champions just before the half-hour mark.

Clifford was unstoppable throughout the game as he racked up 1-9 in a sensational performance, with much of that damage to Tyrone done in the first-half.

Tyrone started well, leading by 0-4 to 0-1 early in the first-half. Dara Canavan led the charge with seven points across the game. Four of them came at the start of the second-half as Tyrone cut the gap back to the minimum.

They wouldn't score again though for about 22 minutes, as they missed their next eight shots in a spell where Kerry eased into control.

Paudie Clifford kicked two points and the superb Joe O'Connor hit two also in a Man of the Match performance.

Kerry will be back in Croke Park in two weeks' time for the 2025 decider. On Sunday they find out if they will face Donegal or Meath in the All-Ireland football final on July 27th.
