A total of 492 admitted patients are waiting for beds in Irish hospitals this morning according to today’s Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation (INMO) Trolley Watch.

This includes 335 patients waiting in emergency departments, while 157 are in wards elsewhere in hospitals.

The most overcrowded hospital is University Hospital Limerick (UHL), where there are 97 patients waiting for beds.

This is followed by Cork University Hospital (CUH), where there are 43 patients waiting for beds, St Vincent's University Hospital (36 patients), Sligo University Hospital (35 patients), University Hospital Galway (33 patients), and Tallaght University Hospital (31 patients).

The most overcrowded emergency department is at CUH (42 patients).

This is followed by UHL (37 patients), St Vincent's University Hospital (33 patients), University Hospital Galway and Sligo University Hospital (both 26 patients).
