A 30-year-old man has been charged over alleged sexual offences in the United States, the PSNI has said.

It is understood the charges are in connection with an alleged incident while Armagh GAA was on a trip to the US.

The man was arrested on December 10th on suspicion of a number of sexual-related offences alleged to have taken place in November.

He was later released on bail to allow for inquiries to be carried out.

On Monday, the PSNI said he was charged with two counts of sexual assault and two counts of causing a person to engage in sexual activity without consent.

He is due to appear at Armagh Magistrates’ Court on May 6th.

All charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service, as is normal procedure.

The PSNI said it would not be commenting further as criminal justice proceedings progress.
