Met Éireann forecasting a largely dry St Patrick's Day

Met Éireann said St Patrick's Day will bring a good lot of dry weather, but there will be some well scattered showers around mostly Munster and south Leinster.

While some decent spells of sunshine are likely for a time, mainly in parts of the west, it will generally become cloudier through the morning, with just the occasional sunny spell afterwards.

Feeling cool in mostly moderate east to southeasterly winds and with highest temperatures of 7 to 10 degrees.

Overall next week they said it will stay settled and generally dry until Friday with spells of sunshine. Cool at first, but it will gradually turn milder on Wednesday and Thursday.

Another mostly dry day on Tuesday with spells of sunshine developing. There will be a few showers, mainly in the southwest. Feeling quite cool with highest temperatures of 6 to 9 degrees in moderate to fresh southeast winds.

Wednesday will be a dry and bright day with plenty of sunshine. Highest temperatures will range between 8 degrees in the northwest and 14 degrees in the southwest, in light to moderate east to southeast winds.

Remaining dry and generally sunny on Thursday. Milder with highest temperatures of 12 to 16 degrees, warmest away from the eastern and southeastern coasts in moderate southeast winds.

It will turn unsettled for Friday and the weekend with nearby low pressure bringing spells of rain and breezy conditions.

It will continue mainly dry in most areas tonight, with clear spells and just a few isolated light showers expected 🌧️
