A fourth teenage boy arrested after a number of alleged thefts from businesses in Co Cavan and Co Monaghan has been charged.

He is due to appear before a special sitting of Cavan District (Juvenile) Court on Saturday evening.

Gardaí on routine patrol searched a car in Cavan town shortly before 8pm last night.

They arrested four teenage boys and three have been released.
