Conor McGregor, Miami Heat sued over alleged sexual assault at 2023 NBA finals

Conor McGregor has been accused of sexually assaulting a woman in a US basketball arena.

The alleged incident took place in June 9th 2023 during the NBA finals in Miami.

The woman is accusing the MMA fighter of assaulting her in a bathroom and is seeking damages from him and the arena.

Mr McGregor denies the allegations and has called them a "shakedown".

The incident was initially reported to Miami police on June 11th, 2023. However, in October 2023, the Florida state attorney’s office declined to pursue criminal charges.

The lawsuit also highlights an earlier incident that night when Mr McGregor punched the Miami Heat mascot, Burnie, during a half-time skit promoting a pain relief spray, resulting in the mascot’s hospitalisation.
