The search for a missing person in the River Moy has been stood down following the recovery of a body on Saturday morning.

Gardaí and emergency services recovered the body of a woman shortly after 10am.

A search had been going on in Ballina since Thursday.

An Garda Síochana have thanked everybody involved for their assistance over the past number of days.
