Emergency services are dealing with a fire onboard a ship at the Port of Cork.

A fault with a piece of cargo handling equipment is believed to have been the issue onboard a bulk vessel at Ringaskiddy Deep Berth.

Fire units from Cork City and County are on scene, along with a critical care doctor, gardaí, and paramedics.

All personnel are said to be safe, and the fire brigade has the situation under control, Newstalk has reported.
