A man has been charged in connection with the murder of a woman in Cork.

Paula Canty was found dead at her home in Bridewell Lane, Mallow, Co Cork on January 3rd.

As part of the investigation into her death, a man was arrested earlier this week and has now been charged.

He will appear before Midleton District Court on Thursday morning.

Gardaí say investigations are ongoing.
