A man has had his arms and legs broken in an assault in Belfast.

Detectives are appealing for witnesses and information following the incident on Sunday.

Shortly after 9pm a man aged in 30s was was found seriously injured in an alleyway just off the Azamor Street.

Officers attended the scene.

The victim suffered lacerations to his head and broken arms and legs.

He was taken to hospital and is in a stable condition.

 

A PSNI spokesperson said: “Our investigation is now under way to establish what happened, who was involved and a motive.

“Horrific violence has been inflicted on this man that will leave physical and mental scars and trauma that may never heal.

“No good comes from this – ever.

“Anyone with information that could help our investigation is asked to contact police on 101, quoting reference number 1575 15/09/24.

“We are especially keen to hear from anyone who may have CCTV or dash-cam footage of the area yesterday evening.”
