Man arrested after gardaí seize shotgun and ammunition in Co Cork
A man in his 30s has been arrested after a shotgun and ammunition were seized in Co Cork in the early hours of Thursday morning.
The weapon was discovered in a vehicle when the driver was stopped at a checkpoint in Mallow just after 1am.
The man is being held at a Garda station in the county.
The gun and ammunition will be examined by the Garda Ballistics Unit.
