Two men have been arrested after cannabis worth over €330,000 was seized in Cavan.

The search took place in Belturbet on Wednesday night.

A search was carried out at a grow house which led to the seizure of cannabis worth €334,000.

€44,000 worth of cannabis plants and €290,000 in cannabis herb was discovered at the property. The seized drugs will now be sent to FSI (Forensic Science Ireland) to undergo further analysis.

Two men in their 30s have been arrested and are currently being held at a Garda Station in the North Western region.

Gardaí say investigations are ongoing.
