Three man have been arrested following a co ordinated operation carried out Co Cork on Friday in response to recent criminal damage and violent disorder incidents in Doneraile and Mallow.

In the course of the operation, searches were conducted at seventeen locations, including lands and twelve residential properties, leading to the seizure of quantities of cocaine, cannabis, and a significant quantity of cigarettes.

Weapons such as slash hooks, machetes, and knives were confiscated. Additionally, several mobile phones and documentation were seized during the operation.

Three men are being detained under section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984, at a Garda Station in the Southern Region.

The operation involved over seventy members of An Garda Síochána from North Cork, including specialised units, alongside personnel from the Defence Forces, Revenue Customs, and the Department of Social Protection. Investigations are ongoing.
