Gardaí are appealing for the public’s help in investigating the shooting of a man in Co Wicklow by assisting in their efforts to trace the movements of a specific car.

A man in his 40s was shot multiple times at Bellevue Hill in Wicklow at approximately 4.30pm on Thursday.

He is still being treated for his wounds at hospital, where his injuries are described as non-life threatening.

Another man, aged in his late teens, was assaulted during the incident but has since been released from hospital.

Gardaí are now looking to trace the movements of a 2007 black Ford Focus hatchback between 3pm and 5pm in the Delgany area, specifically between Bellevue Hill and Kindlestown Woods car park.

Any road users who may have camera footage and were travelling in the area at these times are asked to make this footage available to gardaí.
