Cool Running Events has announced the return of the Alpine Skate Trail to Cork this winter.

Cool Running Events has announced the return of the Alpine Skate Trail to Cork this winter.

The temporary amenity, located along the Centre Park Road, will be open to members of the public during the festive season from November 7 to January 25.

The announcement comes following a successful return of the experience to Cork city last year, seeing more than 75,000 skaters enjoy the trail’s gliding twists and turns, offset with an Alpine-inspired backdrop of pine trees and twinkling festive lights.

The trail will return in its original layout, with options for both experienced and beginner skaters.

To celebrate the announcement, a limited amount of early bird tickets are now on sale for €15, the cheapest they will be throughout the skating season.

Cian O’ Callaghan, head of sales and marketing at Cool Running Events, said the team are “thrilled to bring Alpine Skate Trail back to Cork city for the second year in a row”.

“We listened to our skaters' feedback from last skate season and we've made the decision to bring back the trail in its original layout - a change we know our seasoned skaters will welcome,” said Mr O’Callaghan.

“We've also prioritised the likes of free parking on-site to ensure easy and affordable access for everyone.

“We can't wait to welcome our skaters back on the ice - November can't come quick enough.

“We encourage everyone to book their early bird tickets now, as these are the cheapest tickets available all season and they're limited in quantity.”
