A man has been arrested in Dublin as cash and phones were seized as part of an investigation into organised prostitution.

The arrest was made on Tuesday as part of an investigation targeting organised prostitution, brothel-keeping and money laundering in the greater Dublin area.

In follow-up searches in north Co Dublin, €11,060 in cash was seized along with 13 mobile phones and various documents.

The man, aged in his 30s, is currently being held at a Garda station in Dublin city under organised crime legislation.

Gardaí said investigations are ongoing.
