Lorraine Kelly on Brooklyn Beckham ad: Does he really need the money?

Lorraine Kelly has questioned if Brooklyn Beckham really needs the money he earned from his controversial World Cup advert.

The aspiring chef and amateur photographer appears in a campaign for food delivery service DoorDash, in which he appears to make a reference to his ongoing feud with parents Sir David and Lady Victoria Beckham.

In the ad he says: “You’re probably wondering why I’m watching the Fifa World Cup 2026 from home.”

He then smiles at the camera and says: “It’s a long story.”

He can then be seen throwing tickets to a match down on a table.

Discussing the ad on her ITV daytime show Lorraine, Kelly said: “Apparently there is more to come on that.

“You wonder to yourself – does he really need the money to do that?

“I just don’t get it, I don’t understand what is going on.”

Beckham has been engaged in a long-running feud with his parents, ever since his explosive claim in January that they have been “trying endlessly to ruin my relationship since before my wedding, and it hasn’t stopped”.

He also alleged his wife, Nicola, had been “disrespected” by his family.

He has not made a public appearance with his parents nor acknowledged them on social media since his statement, in which he also claimed his parents control narratives in the press about their family and put “Brand Beckham” first.

Lady Beckham addressed the feud for the first time in a recent interview with The Wall Street Journal, and said she and Sir David “love our children so much” and have “always tried to be the best parents”.

The couple, known as Posh and Becks, are also parents to sons Cruz and Romeo and daughter Harper.

Beckham married Nicola Peltz, the daughter of billionaire Nelson Peltz, in 2022.
