Singer Charli XCX is to host a London edition of her Conversations events, featuring a DJ set which she says could feature new music.

The 33-year-old, whose real name is Charlotte Aitchison, will also host a live talk about “the process of making things” with her husband, The 1975 drummer George Daniel, which will take place at Exmouth Market in east London at 7.30pm on Friday, followed by the DJ set at 8pm at Coin Laundry.

In a post on her B.sides Instagram account, Charli said: “First come, first serve (might hide some new music in the set).”

The singer held a similar event in New York earlier this month, featuring intimate Q&A sessions with fans about her creative process and songwriting.

She teased the latest event on her main Instagram account on Friday, with a post which read: “London… tomorrow night?”

The Cambridge-born star released her latest single SS26 last week, with its accompanying B-side Playboy Bunny, which was only made available on record or her B.sides Instagram account.

On May 8, she released the single Rock Music, after an interview in Vogue appeared to suggest the 360 singer was “making rock music” for her upcoming follow-up to 2024’s Brat album, before she said in a post on Instagram: “I never said I was making a rock album.”

Rock Music was accompanied by the B-side I Keep Thinking About You Every Single Day And Night, which is also only available on physical release and Instagram.

Charli’s latest music comes after she released a Wuthering Heights companion album to Emerald Fennell’s film of the same name earlier this year, and also the Brat album, which sparked a cultural phenomenon on its release.

The “Brat summer” trend, which caused a frenzy on social media, incorporated sultry fashion choices inspired by the neon green and black album cover.

Earlier this year, the singer starred in The Moment, a semi-fictional film looking at the release of Brat and the world tour that followed, and appeared in other film projects including Pete Ohs’ Erupcja and Julia Jackman’s 100 Nights Of Hero.

Charli has had two UK number one singles and three number one albums, and is best known for tracks such as Boom Clap, Guess and I Love It with Swedish duo Icona Pop.
