Travis Kelce still feels ‘giddy’ telling people about engagement to Taylor Swift

American footballer Travis Kelce has said he still feels “giddy” telling people about his engagement to pop star Taylor Swift and being able to call her his fiancée.
Kansas City Chiefs player Kelce and singer Swift have been together since 2023, with the couple announcing they were engaged in a post shared last week, which received millions of likes from around the world.
Speaking on the new episode of the New Heights podcast that he co-hosts with his brother, Jason Kelce, which premiered on Wednesday, Kelce spoke about the engagement for the first time since it was announced and offered advice to people who are thinking of proposing.
When asked if it feels different to introduce Swift as his fiancée, Kelce said: “Yeah, 100 per cent. I felt that at the game, actually, it was my first time introducing Taylor as my fiancée to a few of my teammates. It was pretty cool.
“I still get giddy. I love it, it’s exciting times.
“I appreciate everybody that reached out and sent something, and all the posts, and all the excitement that’s been going on.
“It’s been really fun telling everybody who I’m going to be spending the rest of my life with.”
The NFL player also gave advice to listeners who are thinking about proposing, encouraging them to do what feels right for them and their partner.
He added, “You got to know your gal. You got to know your gal or your significant other. You got to know them.
“You can’t let how somebody else does it make you feel like you need to do it that way.
“I would just say, know your partner, know who you’re doing it for and do it for the right reasons.
“Everything else will be beautiful.
When asked about a stag party and who he would invite, Kelce said he had not “thought about it one second”.
The couple’s joint Instagram post, which announced their engagement on August 26th included a series of photos showing Kelce on one knee and the pair surrounded with flowe,rs along with the caption “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married”.
