Social media star and musician Garron Noone came on stage to perform during the Robbie Williams show at Croke Park on Saturday night, to the delight of fans.

Williams brought the Mayo man on stage at Croke Park to perform a rendition of John Denver's Country Roads.

Taking to Instagram on Monday, Noone thanked the fans in attendance and called Williams "the greatest entertainer".

He said: "So I got to go up on stage with Robbie Williams in Croke Park last night... absolutely mental. Thanks a mental to Robbie for having me up, the greatest entertainer, and honestly an even better human being.

"Also these f****** world class musicians who were on stage with me, I'll try to tag them all in a post later, absolute legends. Eighty thousand people there last night, thank you so much to every single one of ye [sic], ye were so kind to me when I came out."

He went on to thank Williams for clapping along with the beat as he had an issue with his monitor when he first came out.

Noone recently postponed a number of shows due to personal matters, and he again thanked fans and explained he could not turn down the opportunity to perform in front of a sold-out Croke Park.

He paid tribute to his Mayo followers at the end of the video, adding: "Mayo for Sam."
