Cork grown Sanctuary Runners is launching a new first-of-its-kind initiative to bring locals together with refugees and migrants, through open sea swimming.

The Rebel Run, in partnership with Cork Sports Partnership, will take place at the Munster Technological University (MTU) campus in Bishopstown on Sunday.

Sanctuary Runners, the solidarity through sport movement which was first established in Cork three years ago, has recorded exceptional benefits for members of the initiative.
