Spectators will need to wait until the sky is quite dark, and are urged to try and view as late as they can.

The Draconid meteor shower, also known as the Giacobinids, will peak on Sunday night after nightfall, starting from Friday.

The Lyrids occur between April 16th-25th every year

Quadrantids are blue meteors with fine trains that appear to come from the constellation Bootes, near the Big Dipper

The celestial event is set to peak on October 8th.

It is expected to peak in the early hours of Saturday, and is caused by Earth slamming into the debris left behind by a comet.
