Baltimore protesters pulled down a statue of Christopher Columbus and threw it into the city’s Inner Harbour. Demonstrators used ropes to topple the monument on Saturday night near the Little Italy neighbourhood, news outlets reported.

The mayor of Barcelona does not want the city’s landmark statue of Christopher Columbus toppled but is open to a debate on Spain’s colonial legacy.
