A Streetcar Named Desire, Everyman, €29, 7.30pm: Tennessee Williams’ haunting play set in the French Quarter of 1940s New Orleans, directed by Aaron O’Keeffe and with Erin Stavrianos as Blanche DuBois. Final performance.

Craic! The Improv Irish Play, CorkArts Theatre, €18, 8pm: From the team behind the Improv Panto, The Improv Murder Mystery and Getaway Outta That comes a totally irreverent rendering of our great dramatic tradition – aided of course by you, the audience, with your own suggestions!

Níos Deanaí Dé Sathairn (Saturday Late Concert), Bantry House, €17, 10pm: Aoife Ní Bhriain (violin) and Cormac McCarthy (piano), long-time musical collaborators, present the world premiere of Irish Rhapsody by Selena O’Neill. Curveball, Triskel Lunchtime Jazz Series 2026, Triskel Arts Centre, €18-16, 1pm: Curveball is a six-piece jazz fusion group formed in Cork in 2026, drawing inspiration from the greats of the genre such as Michael Brecker, Joe Zawinul, and Herbie Hancock.

Ag Iompair An Cheoil: Harp Symposium, Bandon Methodist Church, free, noon: The Harp in Ireland: Sound, Symbol & Story is a unique one-day symposium celebrating Ireland’s national instrument through music, history and craftsmanship. Part of the Bandon Walled Town Festival.

Sing Out The Summer with Mundy and Paddy Casey, supported by The Oars, Basketball Hall Colaiste Muire Crosshaven, €48, 6.30pm: A spectacular evening of Irish folk, pop, rock, and choral music to raise funds for the school.

Babyshambles, Cyprus Avenue, 55, 7pm: After 11 years in exile, the band fronted by Pete Doherty returned to the stage for the Dandy Hooligan Tour last year, and play Cork tonight.

Sunday

Cainteanna Dé Domhnaigh (Sunday Talk), Marino Church, Bantry, €12,  3.30pm: Martin Hayes in conversation with Ríoghnach Connolly, a professional vocalist, flautist, lyricist, workshop facilitator, and musical activist. East Cork Tattoo Convention, Ballymaloe Grainstore, €19-20, 11am-10pm: Following the success of the inaugural 2025 event, the event returns to celebrate the vibrant fusion of world-class ink, deep-rooted folk aesthetics, and the artisan spirit of Ireland. Also Sunday, 11am-7pm.
