THEATRE

Saturday

Showtime 2026, Opera House, 12.30pm, €29: Sinead Sheppard’s School of Performing Arts mark their 20th anniversary with an end of year show.

Shine, Everyman, 6.30pm, €28: The students of Super Stars Cork present their end-of-year show, Shine. A feelgood, not-to-be-missed event for all ages. Final show on Sunday at 12.30pm.

Diva, Cork Arts Theatre, 8pm, €20: Final chance to see the tale of two tough women and what happens when they clash. Norma manages wedding bands, Aine is a no-nonsense garda who stops at nothing to get to the truth. Irene Kelleher and Laura Harte star.

Last Train From Holyhead, Glen Theatre, Banteer, 8pm, €20: Gripping drama. Two men meet by chance on a late-night boat train to London. Through the intervention of a mysterious gypsy woman, they discover their true relationship — as father and long-abandoned son.

Neil Delamere: Reinventing The Wheel, Ballymaloe Grainstore, 8pm, €31: The comedic adventurer returns with a new stand-up show, packed to the brim with tall tales and hilarious stories.

MUSIC

Molly O’Mahony, Briery Gap, Macroom, 8pm , €22: The West Cork singer-songwriter is one of Ireland’s most compelling new voices. Her latest album, Waiting On The World, captures her gift of weaving resilience and tenderness into melody.

Michael English, Ballydehob Community Hall, 9pm, €20: Performing as part of the Ballydehob Country Music Festival, which runs to June 1. For more shows, see ballydehobcountrymusic.com

Aslan, Sea Church, Ballycotton, 8pm, €30: The band perform all the hits, fronted by singer Lee Tomkins.

Elo Experience - Showdown, Cyprus Avenue, Cork city, 7pm, €22.50: 7-piece tribute band.

Ocean To City Festivities @ Blackrock, 9am-2pm, free: Blackrock village comes alive with vibrant race-day entertainment, featuring a lively food market, circus performers, and the ever-popular youth race along the waterfront. Ocean To City – An Rás Mór, Kennedy Quay & Lapp’s Quay, 1pm, free: With record participation numbers expected, a brand new Race Hub, live music, food stalls, family entertainment and a magnificent Tall Ship docked beside the action — this is not just a race anymore. It’s a full harbour celebration.

Analog Devices Cork City Marathon, Grand Parade, 8.15am: 12,300 runners will take part in this year's event with 25,000 spectators expected at the event. 

Faces And Places, Frank O’Connor Library, Mayfield: Final day of the exhibition depicting well known personalities from Cork’s past, featuring new and recent work by celebrated Cork artist Kieran O’Callaghan. Among the portraits are Tomás MacCurtain, Rory Gallagher, Michael Collins, and Frank O’Connor.
