  • Emer Barry In Concert, St George’s Arts and Heritage Centre, Mitchelstown, 8pm: Opera singer Barry has performed as a guest soloist with both the RTÉ Concert Orchestra and the National Symphony Orchestra on Lyric FM and RTÉ One. She will be joined by Mary McCague on violin and Teresa O’Donnell on harp. Tickets €25, see Eventbrite.ie

  • Odhran Murphy, Winthrop Avenue @ The Old Oak, 7pm: Murphy is a 25-year-old singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Armagh with a passion for indie/folk music

  • Creedon’s Musical Atlas Of Ireland, RTÉ1, 7.30pm: In episode two, John explores the creation of national anthems, highlighting the emotional impact of composers like his fellow Corkonian Seán Ó Riada, whose anthem Mise Éire resonates with pride. Creedon also chats to Riverdance composer Bill Whelan, and Christy Moore shares a heartfelt story about Bobby Sands’ prison anthem.
