The award-winning documentary the Silver Branch screening at the Triskel
Patrick McCormack, owner of 'Fr Ted's House' in Kilnaboy, Co Clare, who features in 'The Silver Branch' a documentary film on life in the Burren.

It depicts the life and insights of the philosopher, poet, and farmer, Patrick McCormack, owner of ‘Fr Ted’s House’ in the austere Burren, Western Ireland.

While the main ‘character’ is Patrick McCormack the film explores more universal themes: it is a story of life, love, family, grief, of commitment and of the struggles of modern day life.

The Silver Branch brings us a rare glimpse of a disappearing way of life with all its richness and roguery and leading to a deep connection with the Earth and our ancestral wild spirit.

The film won the Innsbruck Film Festival Grand Prize Best Documentary and was also nominated for Best Feature Documentary in the Irish Film Awards.

It is screened at the Triskel until Thursday at 9.15pm each evening with a matinee screening at 3.15pm on Wednesday.
