UCC enter championship cold as Carbery await in Ovens

Trying to predict the UCC team for Sunday against Carbery in Ovens in the McCarthy Insurance Group Premier SFC Divisional/Colleges preliminary quarter-final, with throw-in at 3pm, will be like trying to win the lotto.

That’s not an exaggeration, it’s the reality of the situation.

It’s UCC’s first game of the season after receiving a bye, and that alone makes selection a puzzle. Add in exams, summer work, travel, injuries, and players only returning to Cork in dribs and drabs, and you get a picture of a management team juggling variables.
