Helio Inter Cork who defeated champions Doolan’s Cow 3-2 at Rockenham to go 11 points clear at the top of the Grandon’s Toyota Business League Premier Division.

Leaders Helio Inter Cork made it eight wins out of nine to open up an 11-point lead over the chasing pack after inflicting a fourth defeat on champions Doolan’s Cow at sun-drenched Rockenham.

Three goals inside five first-half minutes from Euclides Costa, Amine Benali and Alejandro Perez put Inter in control at the break. The Cow rallied with the introduction of substitutes David O’Sullivan and Jamie Murphy for Aaron Hennessy to score twice in the last five minutes.

DHF Grangevale 1 Martin Harvey Solicitors 2

MHS turned the tables on opponents Grangevale after last Sunday’s defeat at Ringmahon Park to take a 49th-minute lead through Aaron Ahern.

Although Billy Tabb equalised for the Vale in the 63rd minute, Tomás Sheehan gave Rob Osbourne no chance with a well-struck penalty five minutes from time.

DoMA Giants 4 Cork Hospitals 1

DoMA’s first outing since the Mooney Cup Final defeat to Ballyphehane Celtic ended in a much-needed league win. A brace from Adriano and one each from Domagoj Mikleusevic and Abner Henrque sealed a comfortable win before Brian Sensonyi netted a consolation late in added time.

Second from bottom Jay Bazz held promotion-chasing Abbey Business to a 1-1 draw at Corinthians Park last Friday night. After Pat McCarthy put the Barbers one up on the half hour, Ronan Twomey set up John McLoughlin for the equaliser in the 52nd minute.

The Weigh Inn Dripsey 3 ISF Ballyphehane Celtic 3 

Ballyphehane came from two down to goals from Greg Reeb and Pearse Morris to lead 3-2 with eight minutes remaining after Rob Lynam, Ryan Constant and Timmy O’Reilly turned the contest on its head.

Morris netted an added-time equaliser for the hosts.

Grandon’s Toyota Second Division

ePower East Cork 1 Co Council 0

On Saturday afternoon, ePower moved clear into second after Aaron Hennessy’s first-half added-time goal secured the three points for the hosts at Mayfield Park.

AI FC 0 Munster’s DCT 2

DCT leapfrogged ePower into second in the table after Dean Farrissey’s 14TH minute opener was added to by a late own goal to register the two-goal win.

Andy Sull’s Hair 7 Cfa Carrigaline Celtic 1

ASH coasted to a 7-1 win with James Doyle hitting four of the total along with David O’Sullivan (2), Ray O’Keeffe and Aaron Keohane among the goals. Celtic’s Jim Goulding had earlier cancelled out O’Keeffe’s opener.

Pfizer FC 4 Fisherman’s Rest Valley Rangers 1: Pfizers stunned leaders Valley Rangers with goals Gianluca Zuccarelli, Jordan O’Keeffe, Christopher Butt and Timothy Healy. Ivan Ohrin had earlier equalised in the 56th minute for Rangers.

MIDWEEK ROUND-UP: 

Champions Doolan’s Cow responded to the drubbing by Helio Inter Cork by coming from behind to overcome Cork Hospitals. Rob Hughes’s 28th-minute lead for the Hospitals was quickly cancelled by two goals in three minutes from Tony O’Reilly and Aaron Hennessy.

After David Mullins equalised, goals from Tomas Kelly, O’Reilly, Scott Lawler and Jamie O’Donovan sealed a morale-boosting win.

In the Second Division, ePower scored six unanswered second-half goals from Ryan Sexton and Ryan Murray, two each, along with a goal apiece from Kaelem Hennessy and Tommy Archer after Patrick Clifford had given Pfizer FC a 22nd-minute lead.

The following night, DHF Grangevale went joint second with opponents Arc Rovers after three first-half goals from Gabriel Santos Cavalcante, Billy Tabb and Mark O’Connell gave the visitors a mountain to climb.

Despite Paudie Cotter pulling a goal back from a penalty, Aaron O’Sullivan quickly restored the Vale’s three-goal lead within a minute of the resumption.

Across the river, leaders Helio Inter Cork went a goal behind against MHS at Ringmahon Park, Seamus Monaghan scoring in the 16th minute. However, the visitors rallied with goals from Ivan Milicevic, Gabriel Da Silva, Joao Martins and Gabriel Cerini.

Second Division leaders Valley Rangers defeated Celtic with goals from Tom Hartnett, John Noonan, Cian Doyle and Steven Coughlan. 

Curry House stunned in-form AI FC to win for the first time in 18outings. Alvin Johnson gave the visitors the lead inside a minute only for the Tigers to go in 3-1 up at the break after goals from Kevin O’Mahony, Arthur McDonagh and Sami El Fellah turned the contest around.

After McDonagh and Johnson exchanged goals in the second 45, the hosts were good value for the win.

DCT lost out to ASH by slenderest of margins, 3-2. Vladas Slabkovskis’ 16th-minute lead goal for DCT was cancelled out by Ray O’Keeffe eight minutes later. Two quick goals early in the second half from Oran Ross and Aaron Keohane rocked the hosts.
