Busy week for juvenile camogie as finals take place on several nights to keep everyone busy in Castle Road

It's been a busy few days for the juvenile camogie county board as they held their U14 league finals, which took centre stage in Castle Road.
In the U14C final, Sliabh Rua got the upperhand on St Fanahan’s as they ran out winners in a contest where they were dominant throughout. Sliabh Rua had goals from Freya Manly and Maya Desmond as they applied pressure from the start, and with Sadhbh Coleman, Emer Corish, Rosie Hurley and Ayla Dwyer also on target with points, they controlled the game with Emer Corish at midfield and Emily Deasy at centre back impressing.
In the U14B2 “1” final, Inniscarra 2 had a 2-14 to 3-4 victory over Sarsfields 2 in a game where the opening half was close with Inniscarra 2 leading 1-5 to 0-3 at the interval.
Inniscarra kept the pressure on in the second half and with Anna Cahalan and Leah Scroope hitting goals, they had Laura O’Regan, Eva O’Connor and Muireann Lane also on target as they ran out winners.
The U14B2 “2” final saw Sarsfields 3 overcome St Colum’s to take the title with good displays from Grace Murray, Ellie Goodwin, Megan Carey, Emma Harris O'Brien, Emilie Guiton, Abigail Darcy- Keating, Aoife Nyhan) and Sadhbh Reaney, who were amongst the scorers.
A strong and balanced performance from Ballincollig saw them overcome Midleton to take the U14 P2 title.

Midleton battled hard but the strength of Ballincollig proved too strong as they ran out winners.
In the U14 B final, Rockban and Fr O’Neill’s were due to meet last evening in Castle Road to decide the destination of the title.
Tonight, in the U14 P1 decider, Newtownshandrum and Sarsfields 1 will clash in Castle Road at 7.15pm to battle it out for the title.
On Tuesday. 23rd June at 7.15pm in Castle Road, Barryroe and Erin's Own will meet in the U14A final.
There are U16 league finals down for decision in the week ahead.
Tomorrow, Saturday, in the U16 B2 “2” final, Midleton 2 and Eire Og 2 get proceedings underway at 10am in Castle Road.
The U16 C final is on Wednesday, 24th June.
On Monday, 29th June, the U16 P1 Final is down for decision.
The finalists still to be confirmed for this.
The U16 B2 “1” final will see Inniscarra 2 versus Sarsfields 2 and this game is on Sunday, 28th June at 11am in Castle Road.

Carrigtwohill recently took the Junior C league camogie title in a game that went down to the wire.
It took a last minute pointed free to give Carrigtwohill the title in a game that was close all through.
Bandon made all the running in the opening half. and led 1-8 to 0-6 with an Aisling O'Connor goal helping them gain the upper hand and with Aisling O'Connor, Clodagh Barry, Laura Cummins, Evelyn McCarthy and Jessica Bolster all on target with points, they were five points clear at the half time whistle.
Michaela Horgan, with four points and, Lucy McCarthy and Lauren O’Flynn with one each, ensured Carrigtwohill stayed in touch through the opening thirty minutes.
Carrigtwohill gained control in the second half with a goal and a point from Maedhbh de Burca, and three Michaela Horgan points.
With the Carrigtwohill defence having tightened up, Bandon were unable to make any second-half headway.
A Clodagh Barry pointed free was their second half response.
