Barryroe land Junior A camogie league title with strong showing against Bride Rovers

Barryroe overcame the challenge of Bride Rovers to take the Junior A camogie league title in Castle Road.
Roisin Ní Bhuachalla opened their account in converted a 45, and with Cliona Harte adding a second point, they settled into the game early. Bride Rovers replied with two Aisling O’Connor points.
Barryroe keep the pressure on and with Roisin Ní Bhuachalla on target with four points without reply, they opened up a four-point lead.
Three Caoimhe Ní Bhuachalla points from play before the half-time whistle gave Barryroe a 0-9 to 0-2 interval lead.
As the sides swapped score for score early in the second half, Cliona Ní Bhuachalla with a point and Roisin Ní Bhuachalla with one kept Barryroe in front.
Abbie Hoare had one from play for Bride Rovers and with Aislinn O’Connor and Shauna Hayes adding to their tally, they kept in touch. Barryroe extended their lead with a Roisin Ní Bhuachalla goal.
They showed their strength as they continued to pick off points. Hannah Whelton and Cliona Ní Bhuachalla with a point each from play and two from Rosin Ní Bhuachalla ensured they ran out winners.
