Cork now know their opposition for the Electric Ireland All-Ireland MFC quarter-final, with Meath facing them in two weeks.
The Rebels will arrive as freshly crowned Munster champions after their extra-time win over Kerry by two points last Monday, a result that secured their first provincial title at this grade since 2022 and continued the steady rise of a group that has grown in confidence.
That Munster final win last Monday at Páirc Uí Rinn was earned the hard way. Cork had to respond when Kerry pushed back, and they did so with composure.
Their defence held firm in the closing stages, their forwards took scores when needed, and the bench added energy at key moments.

Meath will come into the quarter-final off the back of a Leinster final defeat to Kildare last evening. It went all the way to penalties. That loss will hurt them, but it does not change the fact that Meath have been one of the most consistent minor sides in the country in recent seasons.
For Cork, the focus now is on resetting quickly. Winning Munster matters, but the group will understand that the All-Ireland quarter-final is a step up.
A place in the semi-final is the prize, and Cork have every reason to believe they can push on. Their form, spirit, and growing maturity give them a solid platform.
