Damien Cahalane and Diarmuid Healy have come into the Cork side for Saturday’s visit to Azzurri Walsh Park to face Waterford in the Munster SHC (6pm).

With Ciarán Joyce and Robert Downey ruled out due to cruciate and ankle ligament injuries respectively, Ben O’Connor and his management had the two central positions in defence to fill.

Cahalane is a direct replacement for Joyce at full-back, as he was early in the win over Limerick at SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh last Sunday week, while there is a chain reaction in terms of Healy being named.

He is given the number 10 jersey, with captain Darragh Fitzgibbon renewing his midfield partnership with Tim O’Mahony. Tommy O’Connell, who started the wins over Tipperary and Limerick at centrefield, is now at right half-back, allowing Eoin Downey to shuffle over as his brother’s replacement.
