Siam Warriors Superfights was back with another huge day of Maui Thai action last Saturday evening at Gurranabraher Credit Union Parochial Arena.
The Siam Warriors Cork Muay Thai club is synonymous with delivering the most exciting fighting events in the Country by hosting these huge fights and certainly didn’t disappoint their huge band of supporters last Saturday.
The Muay Thai event had a 16 fight main card featuring WBC Muay Thai International Celtic Title fights, a huge top tier World Superfight Eliminator, all under full Muay Thai rules, Thailand's explosive art of eight limbs boxing, with elbows, kicks, and knees all in mix.
They are represented by Ireland’s rising standouts, Aideen Mullins and Colm O’Mahony in an international match ups.
Both are world WBC Muay Thai gold medalists in A class full Thai Rules match ups.
Aideen was fighting French native Thalia Tchoue in a 67 kg bout and Colm was in action against Abdiel Gebrenigus, who hails from Finland in a 63.50 kg bout.
Mullins was pushed to the limit by Tchoue in her bout that went the distance, however, she showed all her class to get the decision by the judges to send her supporters home happy.
Aideen was happy with her performance even though it was a very difficult fight that went the distance.

“This was my first A class fight a big step up to full professional Thai rules against a strong opponent from France,” Aideen said.
“I didn’t know much about her and her style so I adapted in the ring.
"I felt confident and strong going in there after a hard tough training camp.
“I’m just really happy to see all my trainers Martin Horgan and Michael O’Mahony hard work paying off over the last few years and I’m looking to be as active in the ring as I can and will be ready for whatever is to come,” Mullins added.
Colm O’Mahony also put in a wonderful performance on the day by showing all his power and skills by stopping his opponent Gebrenigus with a vicious knee to the head in the third round.
O’Mahony was delighted with his performance against a very tough opponent and his is hoping to be as active as he can be for the rest of the year.
“This was my first fight this year since my last Siam Warriors show last year and to win at home in front of my family and friends is so important to me,” Colm said after his fight.
“I trained hard and done a lot of prep work for this fight, as I was fighting a unorthodox fighter from Finland that had good range, but I knew I would find my distance sooner or later.
"I started landing good heavy hands and finished with a knee to the head and he didn’t make the count and I won via 3rd round TKO.
“I hope to be very active this year and I’ll be taking any opportunities that pop up to fight and progress,” O’Mahony added.
