Very few games survived in the Cork Youth League on Saturday because of the terrible weather conditions, outside of those on all-weather pitches.

There was a cracking U19 Shield encounter at Carrig Park in Fermoy where Watergrasshill United came from two goals down to draw with Tramore Athletic.

Watergrasshill went ahead in the fourth minute through an own goal but Oscar Doherty had Tramore leading 2-1 at half-time.

Tramore went 3-1 ahead three minutes from the restart when Jonathan Horgan hit the back of the net.

Watergrasshill pulled a goal back in the 60th minute through Zack Curtin and levelled the game 3-3 in the 85th minute when Luke Dorgan netted to take a share of the spoils.

Lakewood Athletic moved one point behind leaders Carrigaline United in the U19 League 1 after they beat them 5-2 at Ovens.

Lakewood stormed into a 3-0 lead in the opening 10 minutes with goals from Dylan Browne from the penalty spot and a brace from Jake Ahern. Carrigaline reduced the deficit 3-1 in the 18th minute when Liam Davis scored.

Dylan Murray struck to put Lakewood 4-1 up at the break. Davis scored his second goal of the game in the 63rd minute to reduce the gap but Browne's second penalty secured a valuable three points for the hosts.

There was another cracking game in Knockgriffin in the U17 Premier League where Midleton scored a very late goal to beat a brave Passage.

The visitors took the lead in the 10th minute with a Lee Maher-O’Donovan scored with a fine effort.

Title contenders Midleton equalised when Ryan Cremin hit the back of the net in the 29th minute and the sides went in at the break with the game level, 1-1.

The Magpies went 2-1 in front in the 68th minute through Patrick Adedokun, but Morgan Kelleher levelled for Passage 87th minute.

When the visitors thought they'd done enough for a share of the spoils Sebastian Bird had other ideas when he scored the winning goal deep into injury time to give the Magpies a vital win that brings them back into the title race.

Blarney United went two points clear in the U17 League 1 in the top of the table clash when they travelled to Carrig Park to beat Fermoy 1-0 with their goal coming from Conor Kelly in the 11th minute and they leapfrogged the home side with the excellent result.

Elsewhere, in the same Division, Carrigaline United had a superb 3-1 victory against Leeside United at Ballea Park.

Leeside led 1-0 at the break with a 16th-minute effort from James Casey.

However, the home side were excellent in the second half with Jack O’Grady levelling the game 11 from the penalty spot.

Adam Davis then gave them the lead 2-1 in the 72nd minute and Emre Topkaya adding a late goal to give them a welcome three points
