Kinsale put in their best performance of the season to beat Clare outfit Bridge United in the Munster U17 Cup

Kinsale put in their best performance of the season when they beat Clare outfit Bridge United by seven goals to nil to advance to the quarter finals of the Munster U17 Cup at Gortnaglough Astro last Saturday afternoon.
The Cork side were five goals to the good at half time with Sean O’Driscoll, Leon Griffin, Ollie Ahern and Amir Al-Masri (2) all hitting the back of the net for them.
Al-Masri grabbed his hat-trick five minutes from the restart and O’Driscoll added he second to round off a great day for their club and they will now look forward to the quarter final draw in the coming weeks.
It was also a good day for Lakewood Athletic as they traveled to Peake Villa Park in Thurles to to play the hosts Peake Villa in the JAKO Ireland Munster Youth Cup and came away with a impressive 2-0 victory to progress to the quarter finals of the competition.
After a scoreless first half, Darragh Sheehan gave Lakewood a 1-0 lead seven minutes from the restart and Cian O’Flynn increased their lead 2-0 in the 68th minute to see them safely into the quarterfinals of the competition.
There were two quarter finals of the U17 Gussie Walsh Cup also on Saturday.

Leeds made the journey to Ardath Park to play the hosts Youghal United and came away by putting in another superb performance by winning 4-1.
However, they went behind 1-0 in the tenth minute when Dominic Sadowski netted for Youghal.
Leeds equalised in the 35th minute through Daniel Dugig for both sides to go in at half time 1-1.
Leeds went in front 2-1 when Adam Sienicki hit the back of the net seven minutes from the restart and Kaleb Mbounoua-Alika increased their lead 3-1 in the 63th minute.
With time running out Euan Weighton added a fourth goal for the northside outfit to insure their passage into the semifinals of the competition.
In the other quarter final, College Corinthians continued their great form by beating Midleton U17A side at Knockgriffin Park.
James McCarthy gave Corinthians the lead 1-0 in the ninth minute and two second half goals from their captain Cormac Sheehan and Favour Igbinosun-Ehigie gave the city side a three nil victory to reach the semi finals.
There was only one Daly Industrial Supplies U17 Premier League game played this weekend where Carrigaline United entertained Passage at Ballea Park last Saturday night.
Carrigaline led 2-0 at half time with goals from Elvis Alade and Nathan O’Sullivan, however, Tom McCarthy gave Passage a lifeline three minutes from the restart when he scored to reduce the deficit 2-1.
Carrigaline never panicked and Diarmuid Kelly restored their two goal advantage 3-1 in the 58th minute.
Kelly added his second goal of the game in the 83rd minute and Cormac Moloney scored at the death for Carrigaline to win 5-1 and move fourth in the league table six points behind joint leaders Douglas Hall and Midleton.
