Blackrock capture Seandun Junior B HC title after tough battle against Brian Dillon's

Blackrock were crowned AOS Security Seandún Junior B Hurling champions, as they defeated Brian Dillon’s in the decider, before a sizeable attendance at Ballinlough.
The scoreline was reading 1-10 to 0-12 in Blackrock’s favour, when the Murmont side took the lead for the only time in the contest.
Cillian Brosnan won possession from a Brian Dillon’s puck-out to give his side the lead for the only time in the contest, with two minutes remaining.
Deep into stoppage time, Blackrock’s Conor Sweeney set up Alex Geary for the match-winning goal.
Blackrock succeeded in playing a more open game despite the blustery conditions, while the Murmont side were more dependent on scores from placed-balls.
Blackrock had Brian Dillon’s pinned back from the start, but wayward shooting from placed-balls was proving to be their undoing.
Andrew Murphy opened the scoring for Blackrock, before Dylan O’Donovan got the Murmont side’s opening point, courtesy of a free, from a difficult angle.
Blackrock extended their lead by four points to one with their second point from play by Emmett Sheehan. Rían O’Riordan converted his first 65 and Brian O’Leary also got on the scoresheet with Blackrock’s first pointed free.

Brian Dillon’s responded with their first point from play by O’Donoghue. Andrew Murphy replied with his second point from play for Blackrock and O’Leary converted his second free.
The Murmont side seized the initiative approaching the break, but Blackrock goalkeeper Bran Ahern was pulling off some spectacular saves, to deny Brian Dillon’s the game’s first goal-scoring opportunity.
Brosnan tagged on a point from play and O’Donoghue also slotted over two frees. This left Blackrock leading 0-6 to 0-5 at the break.
Three minutes after the restart, Brian Dillon’s equalised, courtesy of a pointed 65 by O’Donoghue.
Blackrock took a grip on proceedings as Geary restored their lead with a point from play. O’Leary also converted a free, to give Blackrock a lead of 0-8 to 0-6.
The game’s first goal came midway through the second half, when Blackrock’s Ronan Lydon pounced on the rebound of a save by Brian Dillon’s net-mender Evan Lowry.
The Murmont side responded with two pointed frees by O’Donoghue.
This was followed by O’Riordan's second point from a 65 for Blackrock.
Brosnan and O’Donoghue traded points from play with Blackrock’s Adam O’Callaghan.
Darren McGrath scored a long-range point for Brian Dillon’s and this left the minimum between the sides and set the scene for a dramatic finish.
