The semi-finals arrive with familiar names still hogging the scoring charts – and a few interlopers nudging their way into the conversation.

Patrick Horgan, five goals and 39 points to his name, tops the Premier Senior list, but the Glen are gone and his race is run. Ben Cunningham is best placed of those still alive, with 2-37.

Hoggie’s from play tally sits at 2-15, one behind Muskerry’s Matthew Bradley and Erin’s Own’s Conor Lenihan, both of whom have rattled in 2-16. But Jack O’Connor is the only man from the top five still involved, has just two points to make up in the semi-final to take the number one spot.

The Senior A race is wide open. Adam Walsh and Mark Coleman have shot the lights out and both are in action this weekend, but the from-play chart is dominated by Castlelyons’ Anthony Spillane, who has 4-9, while Brian Roche is tied on 3-12.

And in the Premier Intermediate grade, the balance is just as fine – Castlemartyr’s Mike Kelly and Carrigaline’s Brian Kelleher are locked on 0-34 apiece, but with Jack Leahy involved this weekend and only five points behind, he’s likely to catch them.

In the ‘from play’ chart, Leahy is tied top with Lisgoold’s Diarmuid Healy, while Cian O’Driscoll from Ballincollig is only two points behind those two.
