Matthew Bradley still top, Patrick Horgan closing fast in Cork hurling scoring charts

With the group stages boxed off and only knockout fare left, the scoring charts for the top three grades of Cork hurling have been completely shaken up, leaving little room for multiple players from the same club to appear.
Castlelyons are the sole exception, Alan Fenton and Anthony Spillane carrying their share, while Jack Leahy somehow pulls double duty – tenth on the Premier Senior ladder in Imokilly colours and third at Premier Intermediate for Dungourney.
At the very top, Matthew Bradley stays out in front. Muskerry’s talisman has 2-35 to his name and a 21-point cushion on Leahy. Patrick Horgan, meanwhile, has clipped the deficit to just two. His 2-10 against Sarsfields reminded you that, for all the talk of fresh blood, there are few things as constant in Cork hurling as Horgan climbing the charts.
Richard O’Sullivan’s contribution has been more fleeting – Newcestown are gone – but his 2-31 is good enough for third. Ben Cunningham slips off the podium into fourth, only a point further back.
Declan Dalton rises to fifth, his tally unique in that it carries a sideline cut. Darragh Fitzgibbon has motored up three places into sixth, while Stephen Condon, Conor Lehane, Robbie O’Flynn and Leahy round off the Premier Senior ten.

At Senior A, it’s Mark Coleman who leads the way. The Blarney man has been the standout performer and taken on most of the placed ball duties, but behind him, there’s a three way tie for second. Seán Walsh’s 2-7 against Killeagh launched Carrigtwohill forward and locked him on 25 alongside Barry Walsh and Adam Murphy. Walsh and Killeagh are gone, Murphy and the Hill are gone, but Seán and Carrig go on to the semi-finals.
Adam Murphy’s 0-13 for the Hill wasn’t enough to get them the scoring difference they needed to advance, but does leave him a point ahead of Courcey Rovers’ Richard Sweetnam, who sits fifth. Alan Fenton sits two points back in sixth, and a point ahead of Bishopstown’s James Scally, clubmate Spillane, and Bride Rovers’ Adam Walsh – all of whom have 21 points.
At Premier Intermediate, there’s a new leader, former Cork sub goalkeeper Ger Collins, with 3-22 from Ballinhassig’s opening three games. Ryan Deasy of Ballymartle shadows him a point back Leahy’s 0-29 anchors him in third, with Brian Kelleher and Stephen Wills tied for fourth. Mike Kelly and Chris O’Leary are just a single point further behind, with an O’Shea occupying each of the remaining three spots, Liam for Lisgoold, Brian for Cloyne, and Eoin for Éire Óg.
