St Finbarr’s made it two from two in the SE Systems Senior Camogie championship following their win over Inniscarra at Na Piarsaigh on Wednesday night.
Overall, the Barrs were the better side, but they were made battle all the way by Inniscarra, who can’t be faulted for their efforts. But the experience of the Barrs and having players like Kate Wall and Aisling Egan to bring on shows the depth of their squad.
Two early second-half goals were the telling scores as the champions maintain their winning run.

The only downside for the Barrs was the injury to Aoife O’Neill after 23 minutes, who was probably their best player on the pitch to that point.
Sorcha McCartan put the Barrs in front after 20 seconds when she scored a magnificent point from out near the sideline with Emma Olden adding a second.
Aine O’Regan hit back for Inniscarra from a free, before the Barrs had the first goal chance. Orlaith Cahalane set McCartan up, but Caoimhe Buckley saved superbly to deny her.
Nicole Olden and Keeva McCarthy added points for the Barrs as they led 0-4 to 0-1 after 10 minutes,
Ellen Crowley got Inniscarra’s second point and with 14 minutes gone they were in front. A free from Crowley deceived the Barrs defence and landed in the back of the net, to make it 1-2 to 0-4.
McCartan hit back for the Barrs, with Crowley and O’Regan replying for Inniscarra to put them two points up.
Cahalane and McCartan had the sides level, before O’Regan made it 1-5 to 0-7.
But the Barrs finished the half strongly with Cahalane, McCarthy and McCartan all scoring, to make it 0-10 to 1-5.
Claudia Keane got the last score of the half for Inniscarra as they trailed by 1-6 to 0-10 at half-time.
Two minutes into the second half and the Barrs' first goal came when Cahalane took on the Inniscarra defence and blasted to the back of the net
Four minutes later and she was involved again when she took a quick free, but this time she set up McCartan to goal.
That made it 2-12 to 1-6 and it was always going to be difficult for Inniscarra from here.
Wall and Cahalane stretched the Barrs lead, before Crowley and O’Regan hit back for Inniscarra, all from frees

McCartan hit three in a row and McCarthy got the last score of the game as the Barrs ran out deserving winners after a tough battle with Inniscarra.
