Agent Argyll, ridden by H.A. Hamill and trained by the Mossy Fen Stables Partnership, storms home to win the second race at the Muskerry Point to Point in Dawstown.

Sandown Park takes centre stage this weekend with the Group One Coral-Eclipse Stakes the highlight.

The traditional three day July meeting at Bellewstown continues this evening on the Hill of Crockafotha in County Meath with an interesting flat card.

Wexford stages an all National Hunt card this afternoon where Jack Kennedy continues his comeback having returned to the saddle at Tipperary on Tuesday.

The all-conquering Aidan O’Brien seeks a hat-trick of consecutive victories in Saturday’s Coral Eclipse at Sandown.

He is the Eclipse’s leading trainer and arrives after completing the holy trinity of Derby wins at Epsom, Chantilly and the Curragh.

French Derby winner Camille Pissarro spearheads a three-pronged Ballydoyle challenge.

He ended last season with a Group One victory in France and placed twice this term, before his French Derby victory on his first attempt at this trip.

The other Ballydoyle challengers are multiple Group 3 winner Delacroix who was hampered early on when underperforming as 2/1 favourite in the Epsom Derby.

You can forgive that and I'm inclined to draw a line through that particular run.

Delacroix had given weight when beating dual Derby winner Lambourn easily in the Ballysax Stakes in March.

Frankies Fortune and Derek O'Connor win for trainer Robert Tyner.

Last year’s Dewhurst runner up Expanded is the outsider of the Ballydoyle trio.

The current market leader is Ombudsman, who is the 5/4 favourite to give trainer John Gosden his fifth Eclipse Stakes.

The Godolphin owned colt has only suffered defeat once in his career.

That came on his seasonal reappearance at this course, finishing second to the reopposing Almaqam.

He had a tough race at Royal Ascot when landing a fiercely run Prince Of Wales.

This is an ultra competitive renewal and I couldn't bring myself to take a short price about Ombudsman despite his impressive credentials.

White Birch represents Upton trainer John Murphy and Colin Keane has been booked to ride the grey colt.

Both White Birch and French Challenger Sosie will be hoping for some rain before Saturday's race.

WEEKEND WAGERS:

Friday:

HAYDOCK 7.50pm:

INDIAN SPRINGS (NAP) Is likely to start at short odds but looks a certainty and is one for all your weekend accumulators.

He was very impressive 76 days ago in a hot Newmarket maiden.

The runner up and the fourth have franked the form in the interim.

BELLEWSTOWN 7.32pm:

This looks a dead match between JANNAH STAR & JUNIPER SLING where the market will be the best guide.

Jannah Star was heavily backed when second at the Curragh while Juniper Sling was an eye-catcher at Naas in a race that has worked out well.

NEWTON ABBOT 1.58pm:

ISLE OF SARK Harry Cobden is a notable booking for Isle Of Sark who has finished second in his last three outings on the flat.

He is back hurdling here and had lots of experience in that sphere when trained by Shark Hanlon.

Either of his hurdling runners up berths at Sedgefield or Tramore would suffice here in a decidedly moderate affair.
