Cork City have confirmed the signing of their second goalkeeper in a matter of days as Conor Brann has joined the club.

Following on from the announcement that keeper Tein Troost has move to the Leesiders from Eredivisie side NAC Breda, subject to a medical, City have also secured Brann's signature.

The 21-year-old featured for Salthill Devon, Athlone Town, Limerick and Galway United’s underage sides before heading to Swindon in 2022.

But now he returns to Ireland ahead of the 2025 season, becoming City’s fourth new signing of the off-season so far as they build for their return to the Premier Division.

“I’m buzzing to be here," Brann told the club's website.

"The size and stature of this club - it’s one of the biggest in Ireland. It’s good to be here.

"Turner’s Cross is a great place to play, and I can’t wait to get going.”

City boss Tim Clancy is thrilled with his new signing.

“I’m very pleased to have Conor on board for 2025. He came in to train with us towards the end of last season, and we were very pleased with what we saw from him.

"We got a chance to have a good look at him, and he got to know the squad and the set-up, so we are very pleased to have him on board.

"He’s a tall, commanding goalkeeper, and that’s exactly what we were looking for.

“With the announcement of Conor and Tein’s signings over the last couple of days, we have two really high quality goalkeepers that will push each other and challenge for that number one spot.”

Meanwhile, Cork City FC have announced a new partnership with Citylink ahead of the 2025 season which offers discounted travel options to away games for season ticket holders.

As part of the sponsorship, Cork City FC season ticket holders can avail of a 15% discount on standard fares on Citylink routes which includes buses from Cork to Dublin and Galway.

Citylink’s distinctive coaches connect Ireland’s major towns and cities around Ireland with the new alliance enhancing Cork City FC supporters' connectivity to games.

The agreement will include Citylink signage in Turner’s Cross stadium alongside regular advertising in Match Day programmes.

It will also see an alignment on other sponsorship opportunities across the season.

CCFC’s Sponsorship, Merchandise and Events Manager, Matthew Coughlan, said: “We are very excited to launch the partnership between Cork City FC and Citylink. It’s great to have a brand like Citylink onboard.

"For them to offer discounts on transport is phenomenal and will really make all the difference on away games for our season ticket holders.

"It will play a vital part in the matches in Dublin and Galway next season. We look forward to working together for the season ahead.”
