Cork v Limerick: Ciarán Joyce a major doubt for Rebels

Cork centre-back Ciarán Joyce has emerged as a major doubt for Saturday evening's Munster SHC clash with Limerick at SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh.
It is believed that the Castlemartyr star has sustained a hamstring injury since the home defeat to Clare last Sunday week.
With Cork having no margin for error against the All-Ireland champions, the loss of Joyce would be a major blow.
A Dr Harty Cup winner with Midleton CBS in 2019 and an All-Ireland U20 medallist for the 2020 and 2021 seasons, Joyce slotted into the Cork team in 2022.
Having made his championship debut at left half-back that year, he was switched to centre-back for the third championship outing - the win over Waterford, after Cork had lost their first two games - and has been ever-present in the number 6 jersey since then.
